NSW Premier League club Rockdale City Suns are set for a major overhaul with facilities at their ground Illinden Sports Centre as the NSW Government offered to assist them with the construction of a cover to the main stand.

During a friendly hit-out between the Suns and Marconi Stallions played on the 6^th of March, Member for Kogarah Ms Cherie Burton presented a $200,000 cheque to the Suns’ management for the upgrade of this facility.

In regards to the match it was the Suns who grabbed the victory scored by Jason Naidovski in the 67^th minute to give new coach Lee Sterrey four wins out of four trial matches since his acquisition as the club’s head coach for 2011.
