Program Technical Director
Rockdale City Suns are delighted to announce that Mark Rudan is joining our Club as Technical Director.
Mark enjoyed a long and successful playing career that commenced with Sydney United. He also enjoyed successful playing stints in Germany with Alemannia Aachen, in Japan with Avispa Fukuoka, and with the Swiss Super League outfit FC Vaduz.
Mark was an inaugural squad member of Sydney FC where he enjoyed three successful seasons. His leadership qualities were evidenced by the fact that he was also a club captain with the sky blues.
On the international side, he was a member of the Young Socceroos for a South American tour in 1993, including a youth tournament mostly including club sides. He was made vice captain to Mark Viduka in Australia's undefeated Youth World Cup qualifying campaign and scored the only goal of the Oceania final against New Zealand. He was a part of the squad for the 1995 World Youth Cup, played three of Australia's four matches including their second round exit in extra time at the hands of Portugal. He progressed his way into the national under-23 team and played most qualifying matches for the Olympics in Atlanta.
Football Development Advisor
Rockdale City Suns are pleased to announce the services of Zoran Andreev, as their Football Development Advisor for the PDP program. Zoran has extensive knowledge and experience in Junior Football Development and is renowned through his methods of taking players to the next level. In the past few years, numerous players under his coaching and guidance have been able to successfully enter FNSW programs such as P22 and S.A.P and is the only coach in The St.George District to have done so.
Zoran currently holds a Senior and Youth Licence and will be working closely with Mark Rudan and the PDP coaches, providing advice and feedback on each player's progress and development requirements to reach their goals.
Skill Acqusition - PDP
We are very excited to welcome on board to the PDP program Gilles Toure. Gilles will be responsible for taking each of age groups for sessions for skill acqusition specific training. Gilles reputation in this kind of training is very well known and he is currently a trainer to numerous A-League and premier League Players also players currently overseas. It is a coup for our club to have Gilles as part of the program. Gilles holds a current Junior and senior coaching licences.
Under 10 and Under 11 coaches
Rockdale City Suns are pleased to announce the following coaches have accepted postions for 2012.
Guilherme Carniel has accepted the coaching roll of one of our Und 10 PDP squads for 2012. Gui as he is affectionately known, is an exponent of the beautiful game and has extensive experience training children across all ages during his time in Australia. The founder of Soccer de Brazil Academy, Gui was a successful player during his time in his native Brazil and has coached at FC Gremio in Brazil, FC Barcelona Escola in Spain and in the USA. Gui has a NSCAA Premier and National Diploma and ABTF Associacao Brasileira de Treinadores de Futebol from Brazil. Well known for his work with children in the St George and Eastern Suburbs area, Gui will be a valuable asset to the Club's program.
We also welcome Hamish Morrison to the club as coach of the und 10 & 11 teams. Hamish has been involved as a player and coach for the past 25 years having worked with the World Football Group Academy where he held the positions of National coach Und 14's, Head Coach and Academy Manager from 2009 to 2011. Also, many years working with Youth football across Sydney. Hamish is passionate about passing on his vast football knowledge to our Under 10 & 11 PDP squads. Hamish currently holds a Youth and Senior FFA coaching licence.
Zoran Andreev will also be coaching one of our 11's teams, as well as being our Football Development Advisor, The teams he has coached have always been technically very sound and played a unique brand of football.
Under 12
We are pleased to announce that Jove Ckorovski has accepted the head coaching position of our Under 12’s. Jove has an abundance of experience coaching at this grade and with Juniors generally.
Jove holds a Youth Licence and who also excelled as a player at the highest level.
